Collaborations & Special Appearances
In the 1980s Cocteau Twins contributed significantly to projects by other artists, such as 4AD label-mates Dif Juz, The Wolfgang Press, and friends like Harold Budd, Felt, and Ian McCulloch. They were perhaps best known for their work as part of the 4AD project This Mortal Coil, for which Elizabeth and Robin recorded the iconic cover of Tim Buckley’s classic “Song to the Siren,” among other contributions, and Simon performed extensively on the project’s first two albums. In later years, Cocteau Twins members were in demand for film soundtracks and other collaborations with artists like Medicine, Moose, Lush, Chapterhouse, and The Future Sound of London, among many others.
