    Liz was the vocalist and lyricist in Cocteau Twins, and co-founded the group with her former partner Robin Guthrie and their friend Will Heggie. Rarely in the public eye, her unique vocal stylings, trademark lyrical approach, and song titles have made her one of the world’s most beloved singers.

    Robin is a co-founder of Cocteau Twins, and was one of the principal songwriters and musicians. Robin’s unique and innovative style of guitar-playing and songwriting—as well as his deft production skills in the studio—have made him a much-respected musician and sought-after producer.

    Simon, along with Robin, was a principal songwriter and musician in Cocteau Twins. Having joined Liz and Robin in 1983, he helped shape the signature “Cocteau sound”—primarily with bass, guitar, and piano. He has since become a respected leader in independent music as head of Bella Union.

    Will Heggie co-founded Cocteau Twins with Robin Guthrie in 1979. He played bass on their first LP and two EPs before leaving the group in 1983. He later joined the influential Scottish band Lowlife.
