In the Cocteau Twins scheme of things, putting on a black dress and looked (sic) pained = a cosmic Piaf!

A plodding tortuous dirge = a mark of sensitivity! Screeching like a doolally fishwife = passion! These precious little people are one of the finest arguments I’ve ever heard for bring back National Service. ▣

(ED: OUCH. It still charted and sold thousands and thousands of copies, so pffffft.)
