Miley Cyrus Performs Cover of “Heaven or Las Vegas” … in Las Vegas

In perhaps one of the more surprising intersections of Cocteau Twins music with pop culture, the American pop singer Miley Cyrus surprised—or possibly bewildered—her fans in a recent outdoor performance in Las Vegas, NV, with an abbreviated cover of “Heaven or Las Vegas” (from the 1990 LP of the same name).

The song was obviously well-rehearsed and not simply a lark. It would be interesting to see if Cyrus tries it again in the future (with a longer version)—or maybe on an album of covers?

To say the least, Cocteau fans’ responses were mixed. You decide.
