Marc Jacobs ‘Heaven Or Las Vegas’ Capsule Collection Is Inspired By Cocteau Twins

American fashion designer Marc Jacobs has introduced a capsule collection of garments, jewelry, accessories, and more inspired by Cocteau Twins and specifically the 1990 LP Heaven or Las Vegas.
For the Fall 2022 season, Heaven by Marc Jacobs have collaborated with Cocteau Twins on a special capsule collection that celebrates their 1990 album, Heaven or Las Vegas.
Widely regarded as one of the decade’s finest and featuring ‘Cherry-coloured Funk,’ ‘Iceblink Luck’ and the album’s title track, Heaven or Las Vegas is the sixth studio album by Cocteau Twins. A timeless and unique record that has inspired countless others, Pitchfork said of it in a rare full marks retrospective review, “pop (music) rarely sounds as transformative and as transfixing as it does here.”
Working with the band, 4AD, original sleeve designer Paul West and photographer Andy Rumball, Heaven have created a limited range—the first of its kind with this band—that celebrates the album’s enduring appeal and the explosive colour and energy of its classic sleeve design. The capsule collection consists of a baby tee, mesh skirt, slit top, album logo hair pin and album logo ring. Prices range from $35 to $145 with all items available to purchase from marcjacobs.com, Heaven Fairfax (LA) and Dover Street Market in New York, Los Angeles and London.
In addition, an exhibition dedicated to Heaven or Las Vegas is now open at Heaven’s Fairfax store in Los Angeles where Paul West’s original artwork and album memorabilia is being displayed to the public for the first time. It runs until December 12th. ▣
