In 2025, there has already been one CocteauFest, and there will be three more

This year has already seen its first CocteauFest—the first ever such event in Lima, Perú—and will see three more, all in the US, in August and September.

Organizers have announced the dates and other details for three CocteauFest events to be held this year on consecutive nights in August in San Francisco, CA, followed by another event in September in Seattle, WA.

CocteauFest, for the uninitiated, is an unofficial, “open source” celebration of Cocteau Twins and their musical legacy. Usually held once per year, the gatherings often include live performances, fan meet-ups, and plenty of Cocteau Twins music.

The event in Lima was held on 1 May at Heróis de Tarapacá, 177, and featured tribute band Treasure performing live. Fans can still attend these upcoming events:

CocteauFest San Francisco, Part 1: Friday 15 August 2025 from 9:30pm - 2:30am

Featuring DJs Xander, Chat Noir, and Unseelie. The front room will be all-Cocteau Twins, all night, and the back room will feature dark wave to dreampop. This is part of The Darkwave Dance Party series.
